Hi! We are having a wonderful time. Today (Tuesday), we traveled to the University and tried on kimonos. Then we went to the Emergency Center where we experienced simulated recreations of major earthquakes from the past, and tried to find our way through dark hallways, filled with simulated smoke. (Quite challenging!) Our next stop was a beautiful temple where we experienced an amazing Tea Ceremony. All the kids participated and would have made you very proud, because of their polite manners and kind attention.
A meeting with the Mayor and city officials completed our busy day. Now they are each at 'home' with their host families. They are all well, and loving this experience. They send their love and hellos!!
